Feather Hair Extentions for Dogs: Ridiculous, or Ridiculously Cute?

The newest trend in hair accessories has hit the canine market.

Feather hair extensions for humans have been flying off the shelves of salons everywhere. These “extensions” are striped, solid color, or multicolor rooster feathers that are attached to a small piece of hair with a silicone bead. More than one feather can be attached. Here’s an example of what they look like on humans:

As with many trends, this human accessory has moved to the canine world! Puppylocks (who also makes human feather extensions under the name Featherlocks) is marketing extension feathers to dogs. Below is a doodle wearing a “Feather Fur Extension.”

These extensions slip easily on the fur (or human hair) and are securely attached by the clamped silicone bead until they are removed. So, readers, what is your call?
