TRAINER APPRENCTICE PROGRAM
So You Say You’re a Dog Lover, Prove It!
At Wag ‘N’ Tails our Mission is to reduce the amount of dogs who are given away or euthanized due to treatable and preventable reasons.
1 out of every 10 dogs keep their forever home. Approximately 7.6 million animals enter shelters every year. At Wag ‘N’ Tails we’ve been making “Sit Happen” since 1999, although we still have a lot of work to do and we need your help! This decrease in the amount of dogs found in shelters can come from our communities working together to teach people how dogs think, learn and communicate. Join us!
Behavior problems such as house soiling, digging, jumping up and biting are contributing reasons that dogs are given up. Let’s reduce those numbers together.
Here’s where YOU come in.
At Wag ‘N’ Tails we’ve been told that what we do with dogs is “like magic.” We don’t claim to have super powers, the only miracles we’re performing is saving lives by teaching people how to do what we do! When we make the difference in people’s homes with their dogs, that’s the magical part. Seeing less dogs in shelters due to house soiling. Magical. Less dogs given away because of jumping up and digging? A miracle.
When we teach you, you take that education and spread it across the great big world for all to see so that you can help us live by the words of our mission statement. That’s the magic.
Join our Apprentice Program. We would love to have you!

In the world of dog training you will find a variety of different methods that can be used to teach a dog. At Wag ‘N’ Tails we believe in science based methodologies.
Our methods are easy, effective and most importantly we have FUN. Our methods are so much fun that the dogs are having fun too! We teach people how dogs think and how they learn. We believe in the importance of patience and the value of communication and building an irreplaceable bond.
