A recent news story first reported by Channel 4 WDIV on July 1st, 2009 during the 11pm news reported a local kennel operating under horrific conditions and just plain bad business. The kennel reported was Camp Wag A Tail L.L.C. in Romeo Twp, MI; see the news story here:

Here at Wag ‘N’ Tails Dog Activity Center we hold our staff to the highest of standards. New employees go through vigorous weeks of training before they are allowe to care for our canine guests. This includes safety certification, first aid certification, a behavior seminar, hands-on training for interacting with our guests, and strict cleaning and disinfection procedures. Once initial training is completed employees are required to go through at least two training classes: our Puppy Preschool Training Class and our Bark To The Basics Training Class. Each and every employee must follow and complete this detailed certification program offered through our school. We are proud to offer health and safety certified trainers who undergo these evaluations and training to ensure the highest quality of service for you and your pet.
Not only do we offer the highest standards of care for your pet but our prices are all-inclusive with few exceptions. While your pet is staying with us they receive group training sessions several times a day during the dogs’ playtime and exercise time. Your dog is out for a play and exercise session for a minimum of four to five hours in the morning and in the early evening as well. Our highly trained staff will administer medications (of any kind) that you provide us for a small additional fee. All medication is thoroughly tracked through our computer system as well as by a color-coded tab band that us on the dog at all times. As an additional precaution, there is a medication card placed on each dog’s housing area which contains detailed instructions for your dog’s medication.
We are proud to offer the best care for your dog along with a truly caring and friendly staff. At Wag ‘N’ Tails you will find a clean, caring and family environment for you and your dog. We have that personal touch that no other boarding facility in the community has.
